Office 2007

  1. Close all applications, disable any 3rd party firewall software (other than the Windows XP firewall), and click the appropriate linke above to the install or upgrade to Office 2007.
  2. Click "YES", if prompted via pop up window, to allow the display of non secure items.
  3. Type in your NetID and password to authenticate when prompted.
  4. Click "Run" to allow the O2K7.BAT file to run on your computer
  5. Wait as Office 2007 is installed on your computer.
  6. Reboot your computer when the installation or upgrade is complete.

Office 2003 Quick Help:

  1. Please close out of Microsoft Office and disable any firewalls you may have installed yourself, excluding the Microsoft Windows firewall.
  2. The program will install Office 2003 and migrate your previous settings, including Microsoft Outlook.
             Note: This update program will not run on Windows 95, 98, or NT. If you have one of these operating systems installed, the program will quit.
  3. The update may take as long as 45 minutes, depending upon your internet connection.  Please let the update run until it completes, then reboot the computer.
  4.  You may run any further updates for Office 2003 at the Microsoft Office Update website

  2. Backup all copies of custom Office templates you may have created before beginning the Office install. These are stored in the following folder: /Applications/Microsoft Office/Templates/My Templates.
